Shelana Collies was established in 1979. We bought our first well bred collie from Mrs. Pat Starkweather of Glen Hill Collies. Pat lived in Birmingham, Alabama at the time and she mentored us in our first years in collies. The information we learned from her has proven to be of the utmost importance through the years. We developed an eye for the elegant collie, one which moves effortlessly across the ground, and has that beautiful long lean head and almond eye that is so important to the expression of the collie.

We strive to produce sound, healthy collies with beautiful expression. We have occasional litters and breed only when we are wanting something for our own breeding program. We do have puppies as well as adults available occasionally as companions. We do require spay/neuter of all puppies placed as companions.

We are current members of the Collie Club of America, the Collie Health Foundation and the Collie Club of Alabama.
